PICO organised the fifth policy workshop on 27 August 2019 to discuss ways to nurture, attract and retain I&T talent in Hong Kong. Mr David WONG, Convenor of Youth I.D.E.A.S. of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, and his research team shared recommendations for the improvement of STEM education at both primary and secondary level. At the same occasion, Prof Kevin AU, Director of Centre for Entrepreneurship of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, suggested measures to attract and retain mainland students and graduates in Hong Kong to become entrepreneurs and thus enlarge the local I&T talent pool.
Representatives of the Education Bureau and Innovation and Technology Bureau as well as colleagues from PICO attended the workshop and exchanged views with the speakers.
