Updated Guidance Notes and the Guidelines on Disbursement, Accounting and Monitoring Arrangements for the Public Policy Research Funding Scheme and the Strategic Public Policy Research Funding Scheme

The Policy Innovation and Co-ordination Office (PICO) has reviewed the operation of the Public Policy Research (PPR) Funding Scheme and the Strategic Public Policy Research (SPPR) Funding Scheme. To make the application and assessment processes more transparent, we have updated the Guidance Notes of the PPR and SPPR Funding Schemes. The major amendments to the Guidance Notes aim to provide greater clarity in the eligibility requirements, project duration and funding cap, permissible expenditure items, assessment process, and public dissemination of final reports.

The updated Guidance Notes of the PPR Funding Scheme and the SPPR Funding Scheme, together with the updated Guidelines on Disbursement, Accounting and Monitoring Arrangements for the PPR Funding Scheme and the SPPR Funding Scheme have been uploaded onto PICO's website (https://www.pico.gov.hk/en/PRFS/forms_and_guidelines.html).
